XPee board

The XPee board is a small expansion board which allows you to hook up:

Four resistive sensors
3 LEDs
3 Digital inputs or outputs
Two wire interface (TWI/I2C) devices
RX/TX (for monitoring)

Setting up Pure:Dyne Linux to work with SenseStage

SuperCollider host
Some supporting packages are needed before you start:
Apache2 for running an http server, and subversion to check out the latest DataNetwork software.
Open a terminal and type:
sudo apt-get install apache2 subversion.
SuperCollider is installed by default on Pure:Dyne
To set it up to work with the latest version of the DataNetwork classes, do the following:

Atmosphere

Atmosphere is a total sensory environment combining coloured light, sound, infrared heat and haze. Over a 20 minute cycle, sudden bursts of light, sound and heat transform the main FOFA gallery into a synesthetic space fluctuating between dense overload and contemplative reflection. Exploring what architecture critic Mark Wigley calls “an architecture of atmosphere,” a sensuous climate of ephemeral yet, tangibly felt effects envelop visitors, probing the ways in which the just perceivable opens up our experience of noise and order, sense and sensation.

M.A.R.I.N. WORKSHOP: Environmental Sensors and Sensor Networks in Media Art
